Breakfast Book Club

The Breakfast Book Club is a wonderful way to promote reading and create readers! It also helps them hone in on their discussion and presentation skills!

 

Volunteers are an essential part of this program. We have a lot of wonderful parents who have already signed up but we do need more (especially Discussion Leaders)! Please go to the Breakfast Book Club Sign-up Genius Page and see how you can help. We appreciate everyone’s efforts!

Breakfast Book Club meets once a month (usually the 3rd Wednesday of the month) starting in September. Breakfast will be served to enrolled students at 7:45 a.m. Discussion Groups will start at 8:00 a.m. (break out by Grade Levels and # of volunteers).

General Info

WHO? 

  • Grades 1-5 kids who love to read!

WHY? 

  • Great books to read & keep
  • Continental breakfasts
  • Fun with peers as you meet with an adult facilitator to discuss books during the school year.

COST? 

  • $48 partially covers the cost of books and breakfasts. The rest of the cost is funded by the Cougar Ed Fund.

WHEN?  

  • Breakfast Book Club meets once a month (usually the 3rd Wednesday of the month).  See list of dates below.
  • Enrolled BBC students meet in the MPR for breakfast @ 7:45 a.m.
  • Students break out (by grade level & number of volunteers) into discussion groups @ 8:00 a.m.

  • MPR for breakfast
  • Various classrooms for discussion groups
